Experience the beautiful view of the red Kalahari desert as you travel down south to Fish River Canyon. Pass by the striking natural forest of quiver trees and massive dolerite boulders that appear to have been purposefully placed on top of each other by a gigantic hand. Take a walk through Africa’s largest canyon, the Fish River Canyon. Climb the beautiful iconic red sand dunes of the Namib which is a photographer’s heaven.

Day by day

Day 1: Kalahari Anib Lodge

Kalahari Anib Lodge. Savor the Kalahari Desert at this easily accessible lodge. 30 standard rooms flank a shady courtyard, with another 21 comfort-levels overlooking Kalahari savannah. Stretch your legs on the walks and join the afternoon drive to experience the red Kalahari sands aglow with an inner fire.

Day 2 – 3: Fish River Canyon

Fish River has created Africa’s largest and the world’s second-largest canyon. Hot, dry, and stony, the Fish River Canyon measures a whopping 160 kilometers in length, at times 27 kilometers in width and 550 meters in depth.
Visit the striking natural forest of quiver trees and the massive dolomite boulders that appears to have been placed on top of each other by a gigantic hand at Giant’s Playground.

Day 4 – 5: Sossusvlei

Located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa. You get to climb Dune 45, explore Dead Vlei and walk through the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 6: Swakopmund

Set along Namibia’s spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and its surrounding otherworldly desert terrain. Take a relaxing walk on the beach, view the beautiful flamingos in Walvis Bay, and get a chance to explore the town and do shopping.

Day 7: Windhoek

After breakfast, you will to Walvis Bay where you will be taken on a boat cruise, where you will see some seals, dolphins, and pelicans. From here you will drive back to Windhoek and pass through Okahandja craft market which is Namibia’s biggest craft market where you can buy some gifts to take home.
You will be dropped off at your post-tour accommodation which can be booked at an extra cost.
