After a leisurely early breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary at 07:30 am. This drive takes about 3 hours. On arrival, you will meet a professional guide who will take you for a 2-hour nature walk/rhino trek and you will experience the magnificent and endangered rhinos. This is the only place you will have a chance to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat in Uganda. You will then have a 1 and 1/2 hours’ drive to Kabalega Resort for a hot lunch and relaxation. After the short rest, you will have a drive for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours through Budongo Forest to the top of the falls. You will experience the most powerful waterfall in the world close by with a simple hike. You will then be driven back for your dinner and overnight stay at your lodging.

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge before departing for a 3 to 4-hour game drive with your driver-guide choosing a route based on his extensive knowledge of the park and local conditions. With a number of game to see including some of the Big 5, this game drive is truly amazing. You will be dropped off at the shores after the game drive to wait for your boat for a thrilling 2-hour boat cruise and hiking. The cruise is spectacular with a chance to get up close to some of the aquatic animals such as the hippos, crocodiles, water bucks, buffaloes and elephants. Among the birds commonly cited on the boat cruise include the Goliath heron, kingfisher, weaver birds, cattle egrets, and the beautiful scenery along the bank. At the bottom of the falls, you will then trek to the top of the falls or choose to take photos at the rocks below the falls before driving back to your lodge to dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

After breakfast you will drive to Budongo forest home of the chimpanzees. After briefing upon arrival you will then embark on a 4 to 5-hour chimpanzee trekking experience in the Kaniyo Kabidi chimpanzee community where you will experience these primates in the natural habitat with the guide giving you a brief on how they relate and the challenges they face. After the trek you will head back to your lodge for lunch and rest.
After the rest, you will have an evening/ late afternoon 2-hour nature walk in the forest reserve and return to your lodge for overnight stay.
